Mitch Waite
Mitch began his professional career as an artist 25 years ago in England. After a 5 year excursion to Kenya in 1995 he returned to Europe and set up his studio in the South of France.
In 2010 he opened Galerie Waite in Vence specializing in street scenes, landscapes and portraits in oil.
Mitch died of cancer in November 2013.
The Past Works section on the website contains a selection of Portraits, Street Scenes and Landscapes from the past 10 years.

“The most important thing for me is to connect to something in the subject that touches my emotions. That becomes the driving force of each painting. The light and atmosphere of a dramatic landscape or a busy street, or the character and sentiment in a portrait. A painting can reveal so much, I never cease to be amazed and I can't imagine that I could ever lose the desire to keep searching for more and to go deeper.”
